After last week’s World Traveler theme, this upcoming SYS event seems quite promising as well! Hopefully, we’ll get to be more creative rather than having to resort to fancy ball gowns and cocktail dresses to win… Anyway, I’m already particularly fond of this theme as I’m a massive Gossip Girl fan and the Champagne Brunch phrasing sounds like something straight out of the show, which is why I started thinking of ideas with GG in mind…

Blair is definitely my main source of inspiration as her wardrobe in the TV series offers some great examples that fit the theme ideally. For those who haven’t seen GG, the images above are of her at a similar brunch event. I liked her headband and luckily the game has the exact same one (AND look at both Blair and my doll having ribbon belts). Also, I like the idea of using stockings and lace fabrics!

In terms of colour palette, I think pastels would be good for this theme. Additionally, I’ll be aiming for more “complicated” hairstyles (ponytails, braids, buns, including hair accessories). And finally, I think top+skirt/pant formal sets would be super cute for this!

I have no idea what a Champagne Brunch is but it sounds like something the mothers in The OC would do so maybe something like this?

Is anyone else having a problem doing their Chev Paris business gigs? I got this message when I tried to do the first 2/3 gigs. I had to exit and reenter Chev a few times before the gig finally kicked in 😕
