I can't blame Google for an issue that only affects one game, that's where EA/Glu messed up because why are they acting like Google Play had a random update that created a weird glitch yet only one game was affected.

I agree. While I do love this game, I'm not doing that workaround because it's not a permanent fix & they knew the game was glitching (so many people complained about seeing the GPS screen) so they can't act surprised when it stopped working for some users.

So that's why it doesn't go away? I got the call during a photoshoot so that may be why it just never bothered to go away. I know the person who does refer you gets an extra $600 to do so. Thanks. I won't be taking them on anymore, at least until it's fixed.

Sorry to reply to this thread so late, but I was on Google trying to find a solution. I had a referred job and now the task won't go away even though I completed the job. It's been at least 2 or 3 days since I did it.

Thanks for the help, as of now she's still not there. She created a FB account & we've added each other, but still nothing so I'm thinking it is her device that can be the issue.

I've given up, I don't think it's going to happen. She even created a FB account and connected that with her game, but still nothing. I'm just thinking we aren't able to play together like that.

I am logged into FB & G+ in the game, I can see all my other friends through both in the game, but can't see my sister or another person whom I just added in G+.

No problem, I find it's calming when you figure out someone else is having similar issues. I just found out buying stars can get rid of the ads lol I think I may do that, if I can keep the game open long enough.

I never knew buying stars took away the ads, I'll have to look into that. I sent in a ticket to Glu and I did try what it suggested, but nothing helped. I looked on Facebook and others are also having a similar problem.

I think it has to do with the update coming, at least that's what someone told me (their game crashes every time an update is suppose to happen). Mine crashes, but when the ad that's suppose to pop up after you start the game. It goes to the white screen then stops. I've seen Glu my ticket.
