Which heroes do you find to be the best?

I have been playing the game for a little bit (all heroes are about lvl10) and wanted to get some of the gem based heroes. However, since they are crazy expensive I doubt I will get them all. Does anyone find certain heroes better than others? I know some maybe situational so I guess just the best all around is what I'm curious about.
