Rogue Racing (Can't finish race)

Hi everyone I just recently started playing rogue racing on my iPad again (iPad was broke for awhile) I'm on the 4th area called industrial. I bought the wolverine vehicle and have completed almost everything but the time attack level, about mid-way through the level I hit what I think is an invisible bus/semi like the ones that block the shortcuts on certain levels. I had this same issue on an earlier level but managed to use shortcuts to get around, problem is the shortcut isn't usable on the time attack level has anyone else encountered this problem? And is there a solution for it? Thanks ahead of time for your help its much appreciated
