Spotty game play

For the past 2-3 weeks since the upgrade I can only get on about one out of every 2 to 3 days. The days I get on I can play most of the content but I have not been able to play any events. I cant do the token event so I can get the Poison or Ice weapons. Before the upgrade I did get 2 fire weapons. Also I assume there is some kind of new event because I cant get any runes to upgrade the new armor. I can only do the normal dungeons and the new portal missions. It makes it difficult to level up as I can really only do 1 level a day due to the waiting period. Even if I used the hour glass to speed it up, I could only do 1 or 2 that way. Prior to the upgrade I could get on every day, and there were no gameplay issues. Now that I can only play 2 - 3 times a week, it has made it a little difficult. I am on an android, Samsung S4. Does anyone else have issues like this that is on Android? Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to get the game stable on my phone?
