Problem with this game/app.

We have had this app since sometime in July. It always worked well and is one of my sons favorites. Mid December the hard drive in my MacBook died. It was replaced and I needed to reinstall all the apps. For some reason now the app once opened crashes my computer. The first 2 times I didn't know what it was and proceeded to have the computer checked again. The last time I realized it would act up only with that one application. Is there a known problem or will there be a fix to help this issue?
