Courage Potions?

I got some courage potions from the new event going on but i have no idea how to use them. Their effect is increase your courage by 10 but when i try to tap them at home they dont do anything? Anyone have any idea how they work?

The courage potions just refil a given amount of hearts. When you run out and try a cave, a pop up will ask if you want to use a one
