Game data lost

I've just transferred to a new phone and I discovered that restoring the backup do not restore game data, and I have to start all over again.

I'm using iPhone & iTunes. Why? When I read the other threads, apparently saving on Google+ is a solution but why not iTunes? If you're saying iTunes is different, all my other game apps restored perfectly fine and at the last state I last saw them despite the fact that all the data for these apps are saved IN THE OLD PHONE, not in cloud!

...And all this after I've spent money on this game? Those Tier* weapons (specially my HV2 Ares), armors, upgrades and this is what I get? I want an explanation and a solution to get my full game data. Now.
