Hitting woes in 2015?

Anyone else getting frustrated with hitting? It seems at least 50% of my hits are "hard ground *****" no matter how I time the swing or whether I hit a fastball or curve. The other 25% of the time I'm hitting routine fly ***** and then the other 25% are divided amongst hits (with very rare home runs) and strikeouts. This has been happening since I hit Veteran, up to now it seemed fine. I have all my hitting upgrades at level 6. Wondering if anyone else is getting frustrated with the same kind of thing?

I also played TSB2014 and I was curious if I just sucked, but as soon as I go back to TSB 2014 with the same timing and approach I'm crushing homeruns and long ***** and generally grounding out at most 1/5 of the time.
