Playing leagues for rings when you already have maxed team

Am I missing something here? I see a lot of teams that are nothing but prime players playing in these leagues that give you rings. How do you benefit from that?

i guess to get higher on the leaderboards. idk why they need the gold/rings though. i guess out of boredom?

I guess leaderboards but once you have all the prime players that doesn't really matter

I'm guilty of this. I play them mostly out of boredom and bc it's the only cash league I really have to play. I also do it sometimes to try out different lus and pitchers.

I play them for the 5* relievers because you can't get them through the events or rewards. I've already gotten 3 relievers with 5* that way.
