Tournaments Vs. Leagues

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but what is the difference between doing a league that costs a ton of gold or doing it with cash? Are there better rewards that are not shown if you do a league for gold? (I.e if you take 4th I'm the champ sprint, you get a #1 pick even though it is not shown in the rewards) Also, are there different rewards for winning a game In a tournament that costs gold rather than one that takes cash? And which would you rather do, a league or a tournament? Thank you to those that help out!

Also, has anyone had this problem: I logged in to TSB today and had way more Event points than I should have?? (Not that I'm going to complain) but it seems somewhat unfair to others?? Maybe somebody logged in to my account, or something glitched out or what have you, but I should only have around 7,000 points but I have upwards of 50,000?
