Somethings fishy

When I play the weekend tournaments, I usually do auto play, like everyone else, to get the faster points and wins. However, it seems that roughly 80% of the time I face a team that all my rankings are 75% or better than the teams in facing, and yet they still beat my team by a large margin. I was wondering why this happens?
