Videos for boosts or extra energy

so I spent .99 on a first round pick, franchise coin and no more ads. I didn't know that meant it would get rid of the ability to watch a video for a boost or for an extra energy in the weekend event. now, I paid actual money and have had better opportunity removed from the game for me because I spent actual money.. has this happened to anyone else? I didn't want the pop ups but I didn't know that it would remove the choice to watch a video for the 5% boost or for an eXtra energy in the main event......

Btw, I have opened a ticket with customer service through the app about this same problem but haven't heard any response back as of yet.  Meanwhile, I'm losing extra chances for the current main event and losing out on extra boost chances....
