I've definitely experienced this - makes it hard to even get past the first level on my iPhone X. I've also seen lots of other comments about it on the boards. Is there any plan/timeline to fix this? I'd love to be able to play.
PS, I've tried restarting the app, the phone, and closing everything else. Nothing fixes the lag/glitches.
