Question about POTW.. new to game!!

I bought a POTW and got a player... I upgraded him to the highest I could... will he eventually lose his overall? Or will he stay the overall that I upgraded him too?

He will go down after a week to a lower overall (for sure above 335, not sure about what it will be). Still better than any random five star. If said player becomes player of the week again, he will be boosted for another week.

He’s a max 445.. and I have him upgraded to a 260 now... so when the POTW feature is over, will he no longer be a 260? Or will that stay and his max just drops down? I hope I didn’t just waste gold and XP if he drops from his 260.

He will drop from the 260 to around 200 if you had him leveled to gold 10. It's still not going to be a waste of your resources as I would assume he'll still make your line up.
