VIP only Legend XP deal box - are we being punked?

I honestly think there is an internal GLU competition these days as to whom can punk us the most any given week. 5K gold for a "chance" of at most 10K legend XP? And they refer to it as a "Monster Deal". Dear GLU "You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means"

@razorback24 I guarantee it. That is the sad thing. They wouldn't keep offering these ridiculous deals if people weren't buying them. But all I can do is shake my head as I keep thinking they couldn't possibly come out with something even worse than the last "deal"... and then this. Can't wait for the next "monster deal" from Glu to be announced.

Scam.. please no one buy it. I've been doing what @DFBB said a few weeks back. Spending 300 or 450g a day and doing my season mode in about 4 or 5 days.  If you need LXP that bad speed up your season mode, spend the gold 3 times a day. 10k every 4 or 5 days is better then that deal.

Well they did at least lower the price to 1500 after it was 5,000. I did buy the $1 box and now have 153K of legend XP waiting on a Legend
