rich man's game, or just settle on mediocrity.

Looking at so many forums today, there seems to be a common theme. GLU does not put near enough effort into fixing problems, before creating new ones. The Video problems are crazy, and the excuse is that they take time. It is happening again, this week, with WOH, in the late stages. A similar scenario occurs when on CVC and trying to Video boost, it locks up and you lose the entry all together. There are far too many instances of losing at almost scripted moments. Spending money doesn't seem to help. I have spent quite a bit, and my team seems to get worse for it. Now, Season play is kicking my butt (in last place with a team that is minimum 10,000 strength higher than any other team in season play). But only because I am willing to spend money, (is my guess), because I need 450 EVO to level players into platinum, and need Prime XP for the others. By keeping me away from the post season play for last three seasons, it ensures I can't level up without spending real money. I am ready to delete the app and just start over with a new team. I could probably do quite well without spending a dime if I just kept it at a low bronze level. Spending money should improve your game, not frustrate you into wanting to dump it. Do you realize that to evolve a player to platinum, you would have to buy a minimum of FOUR evo boxes,( if you were lucky enough to get the top prize three of the four times). That's ridiculous. So leveling up ONE player costs you a minimum of 1300 gold. Now, this is the best case scenario. That scenario costs around $20.00. Realistically, your looking closer to 7 evo boxes, plus the 100 gold, which is 2200 gold, again, for ONE player. That's around $25.00. And then there's Prime XP...smdh, and don't even start me down the road on Legend XP...

Honestly, if it weren't for the guys in my club, I would have already retired from this game. It is fun, when you aren't pressured to spend money, and the game is working right. It could be so much better, though.

@GSonpoint pretty much everything in the game is designed to make you spend more and more. We spend so much buying bonus player boxes that will give us players that we know we will never keep on our regular roster and justify it by thinking that it only cost 300-500 gold. Well that 300 to 500 gold will eventually cost us another 300-900 gold down the road as we need to replenish the resources, mainly EVO, that we spent on those throwaway players.

I can't even tell you of how many players that I maxed in gold for just one event simply because they needed blue XP which I have plenty of, as does everyone else, and figured I could help my club. And now that I want to go platinum I can't because I am short on EVO and wish that I hadn't wasted that on the one day players.

Game designers are smart so pretty much every little dime you spend today means you have to spend even more tomorrow. Nothing wrong about that of course as companies are supposed to be profitable. It is on us to become more educated consumers and figure out how to spend less and get more out of it.

I have spent 99 cents on this game to get rid of ads and I have a 112K strength gold team and a respectable 40K slugfest team that can earn me 18,500 prime XP on Wednesdays.

Not bragging, I know there's many better, just promise, it can be done. You have to 1) Resist temptation, and 2) Look for the most efficient and productive ways to improve. That's honestly it.

IMO the first few months of this game should be all about building your Slugfest team at Silver or lower. Don't even worry about your main team until you have a nice lineup of Sluggers that can easily and repeatedly cycle Slugfest on a weekly basis. Then you can add a better slugger every week and basically stockpile Prime XP.

Granted, I don't know what the game is going to look like when '19 debuts, if they're going to go back to Slugfest only on Wednesday or continue with the Royale. But even if they do, I can't imagine they'll hand out Legend sluggers from the get-go, so cycling Slugfest for Prime XP should get easier again.

There's even so many things that I did wrong that I wish I had done differently and want to learn from. Example -- boosting guys for pointless boosts like prime events. I blew so many resources boosting guys like that, and now I look back and think, "Why did I do that? That was dumb." But at the time I had hundreds of thousands of Prime XP, so I didn't care.

I have been playing for about three months, My team is around 85,000. There came a point where I gave up on the sluggers, because they weren't helping my overall record, and the game was just shutting them down. I do see how it will be beneficial, now, to get to work on them. My main problem is that I am already in platinum, and my slugfest group is sucking hind tit. I will level up today, and use the gold to get some evo to evolve my sluggers, and use the xp i gain from trades to get them closer to where they need to be. I have never had much luck with the draft picks for sluggers, and I don't like spending resources on 3.5 and 4 star players, but I guess I will have to.

My advice is if your platinum don’t try to improve your sluggers, it’s a bottomless pit and too late. Chalk it up to a learning experience for next year and cycle that woh!

i would also like to add that as a guy who has played this game for 5 years, club hopping is a valuable learning tool. Too many guys find a decent club and camp in it. There are tricks to this game and clubs that can finish first daily with minimal effort. If u don’t go find them then you will never learn! I’m not suggesting you be a habitual hopper but spend the first few months moving around, spend a week in a club and move to a better one. When you find one that makes you say, “what the heck, wish I knew that!”, then u found home.
I'm confused by what you mean by 5.7 and 5.8. You mean the round and level?

When I started playing, season mode was actually fun. Now that I am leveled up, it seems that the season teams are boosted so much that they are almost unbeatable. My team beats 90% of other teams that are on my level, but in season mode, I can't seem to catch a break. I can be stronger by 10-20K, and they will still beat the crap out of me. I did notice that they have the pitchers at around 300 strength, but as much as I work on mine, that is unattainable by my resources and rewards. Any suggestions? boosting does not help either...

Use your ace (ice wrap)against what you know are good teams. And nuke your bench for season mode games. Best 10 hitters only. Manually play when you're down and you should have better success.

When the playoffs start, have your worst pitcher at the ready and then ice wrap. I have had much more success through all of these methods.

Didn't see the rewards for completing levels on Sluggfest til my team had already leveled to gold 6so what I have done is start using reg.xp on sluggers after O have all my players capped I have on look had the app since Nov. 18th and already have a 67k OVERALL TEAM STRENGTH. It would be much higher but I only have 1 5star starting pitcher all the other 4 are 4.5stars and I decided not to evolve them passed silver 10 and wait on a player worth the resources.

I too didnt see how much prime xp you can recieve after completing levels on Sluggfest and haven't evolved but 1 player to silver. I had never played TSB until oct.18th and had no idea what I needed to do so I flew through bronze and silver so now im at GOLD 6and my SLUGGER STRENGTH is 17k lmmfao!!Why arnt the rewards on WOH not even close to those in Sluggfest ? B/C everyone already plays WOH and GLU is trying to get more players to play this event. Anyone have any tips on HOW to get a decent pitching rotation ? I only have 1 5star starting pitcher all the others are 4.5 and max around 250/275so I didn't evolve but the 2 highest overall and have 3 S.P. @ 112 ,111 total b/c they are not worth the resources it takes to go from silver to gold. My team STRENGTH is at 67k and that's NOT JUSTIN AND PRIME CRAIG KIMBREL THE REST of them all suck. If I had a good pitching rotation my team strength would be well over 80k b/c I compete and even win high round and MVP on Versus hell my high rd. Has been 250k+- and total match was well over 675k so when I dont gave to rely ona pitcher I compeate w/teams 20,30k higher than mine

@Pdids - I somewhat agree with that. I do have enough strength and a good enough strategy that I level up every Wednesday. I am just going for it. Also, I have about 22 inactive, 5 star players, that I can trade in for xp to help level up the sluggers. I am just trying to fine tune a few things and figure out if keeping the inactive prime guys makes sense, if I will even have time to level them up to make them worth my time. That, and if 4-4.5 star guys at gold level 10 would suffice to get me through a couple of rounds in slugfest to capture the extra Prime xp.
