Weekend Boxes

Awhile back maybe a month or two ago I recall gifts on the weekends or really in general being the current events boxes.  Any reason they stopped doing that?  Like I don't mind the free gifts cause hey they are free, but with the low odds on weekend boxes would 1 or 2 boxes really hurt at all?  Just wondering if anyone had insight on this.

I miss that too. I actually got a little extra gold and got a player on the 1 box I opened today.  Loved the free weekend boxes. Just 1-2 a weekend like you said

Dried up last week....new trend is the thing in achievements that you can watch videos to win....boxes last week, evo and pxp this weekend.   I remember the funny name weekend around Labor Day when they released Mr Smile and mayor DDC there were a few frees and that seemed to kick off the overly generous period which appears ended now.
