Why can I beat HOF WOH but my cvc clash is terrible

Hi yesterday I beat HOF WOH and got Soto put up 450 million points but yet today with Soto bonus and having the edge after spending 600 gold I only get 500k total.. seems weird to me I would have thought I would be in the millions on the weekend I was getting like 7 million 1 round scores. So inconsistent it seems like

I'm pretty sure that the points are different for clash. On the weekend you get 10 points for a single, in the clash you get 1 point. So 500k is a pretty high score.

I wonder if there are any tricks for matchups always seems like pitching In the clash is insane and I have 90k team strength
