lag issues with multiplayer

I'm having major lag issues with multiplayer, I have wifi on my phone and even without it I'm lagging very hard (not video lag) but latency. I have no idea what's going on I'd I'm not disconnecting its super laggy... please help I'm playing on a samsung galaxy s3
