Multiplayer bug

I am getting SOOOOO frustrated by wasting soul points attacking a relic to have the fight initiate with this bug. Instead of me appearing at the attacker's initial spawn the fight "begins" at the soul gate. My avatar is not there, the defender is not there, in fact, nothing is there except for a lovely view of the soul gate and nothing else. No buttons, no text, nothing. The only way to get out is to hit the home page icon and force close the app.

I haven't noticed a pattern yet, it seems to be random. My pessimism is starting to make me think it's the schmucks who have hacked their GLU credits. I play legit.

Any idea how fkn pissed off you get when you farm 1k+ soul points to have them disappear to this?

I'm playing on a kindle fire HD.
