Weapon reset

So today is the second day in a row that my SMG has reset in the upgrades. why has it done this and is there anyway (aside from me spending all my in game money to upgrade them....) that this issue can be fixed.... It's pretty bothersome when the weapon was almost done the first time it did this, now the second time I was about half way done with it.
