Curve***** almost impossible to hit now

Almost always popup curve bawls now, especially those that land on the edges of the plate which are virtually impossible to get a hit from. Of course you can not go for them, but can't on third strike. I remember in the beginning it wasn't like this, curvebawls could be hit just as well. Did they change the algorithm or something?
