To score 200k+ points in the events, how much gold does it cost?

I've never spent gold on the events and I'm wondering if it's worth it to try and win one. Seems like to win you need at least 200k unless you get lucky and get in a group where no one really cares. So, for those that have won, how much gold did it cost you?

    You need 28 wins streak to reach 200k points which means you need to invest at least 500 gold to refill your game slot.
