Players are playing before prime event started

I was noticing that I went in ranks, and people already have like 10,000 points in the prime event that didn't even start, it starts in 2 days, it seems a little unfair, because now I have no chance of getting 1st, is this is a glitch of some sort?

Didn't think I'd have to clarify my post in a thread titled "Players are playing before prime event started," but I will anyway, for English major Theman20. The guy had 200k before the even started. Definitely something fishy going on there.
