last event - two different leaderboards

So my buddy and I are both in the same division, Legends. He comes into the office and tells me that he won Sale in the last event, I said impossible, the guy in 1st had 5 million points, did you change your team name? Sure enough he had a completely different leader board than I did. How is this possible? I'd post the question in the game contact us section, but that will take 2 weeks to get a reply.
