Die-Hard Pack or #1 Draft Picks?

I need to get other's advise. I have a little over 2k in gold. I need some solid 4-5 star talent. Would it be easier to use all of them on 1st round picks and play the draw cards, #1 picks and get some solid picks, or go for the sure thing in a Die-Hard Pack (PIT) because I need pitchers.

I am going to wait until the event where the picks are 25% off, to get the most out of it.
