Winner of leagues

Why can't the winner get a choice of the prize they want. I know people are playing for the 700 gold bars when they already have the 1st place player on their roster.

    Although that's a good point and true in most cases, the player awarded is ordered and changes for each team depending on whether they have that player or not.
