Collections question

in TSB 2016 General Discussion
How do these collections work? I try to log on a couple of times a day just to see if I can collect and often times I get the chance to pick maybe once at best. Impossible to get anyone other than rookies. Is there a trick to it or something?

    You can only get a free card once a day... Only chance of you getting the collection player is spending gold.

    You're allowed one free card for whenever there's no timer. You'll need gold if you want to continue to collect when the timer is on. You can access the collections anytime by choosing "collections" on the sidebar.
