Upgrades to Offense and Defense

How important is it to quickly Max out the Offense and Defensive Coaching and Training attributes?? Also, should i be doing that with Gold or Money? right now many of mine are at 40 gold and 6500 cash.

Upgrade as much as you can. Key things are hitting and getting outs. But the bronze level its pretty easy to upgrade everything to 20 in a few weeks. But the upgrades can make a huge difference in a close matchup.
