  I couldn't hit down the middle strikes in little league because I was too afraid of getting beaned.  But never so afraid that I soiled myself.

  Nice way to spam your club. Very creative, down the middle strikes shouldn't be a problem, sometimes you "Take" a pitch only to get screwed with the most outrageous decision ever. But those are usually sinkers or curveballs. It would be cool if you could appeal a decision or 2 and maybe have ejections after getting screwed by the home plate umpire.

  if the down the middle strike you are referring to is the 3-0 pitch, don't swing. the 3-0 pitch is either a walk, a strike (if you take the pitch) or a ground ball to the pitcher. if the 3-0 pitch is a strike, quite often the 3-1 pitch is a HR
