What's the evo award?

Can anyone tell me what the evo award is, and if I have to collect it? Sorry, I'm new and am completely lost on this one

EVO Points are used to “improve” players on your team.
You can trade-in your inactive players to “bank” points.

EVO tokens are used to evolve your players to the next tier once you evolve yourself. As an example if you go from Bronze to Silver and have players that are maxed to level 10 in Bronze you would need to use EVO tokens, along with gold, to evolve those players to a Silver tier so that you can keep upgrading them. You cannot evolve past your own tier though so if you are in silver and max a player to level 10 silver you would need to get to gold level before you can evolve that player to gold. Some players also cap at a certain tier such as gold or platinum so those players you cannot evolve any longer once they have reached level 10 at the max tier they can go to.

Having said that EVO tokens are a rare commodity later on in the game once you reach higher levels such as platinum so be picky with which players you spend them on as the higher levels you go to the more EVO tokens you would need to evolve players.
