Season Mode Playoff Cheese

I won 89 games during the regular season and finished 1st in my division. I have a bunch of players batting over .300 and many pitchers with a sub 3.00 ERA. In the playoffs against Arizona I get no-hit in consecutive games and lose 0-1, 0-2. Interestingly enough the AI team was allowed to pitch the same starter on consecutive games, so I got no-hit by the same pitcher in back 2 back games. My team is 30k strength, this should not be happening. Is this just my bad luck or is this happening to everyone (where your offense just completely dies in important games)?
