Two questions. How many medals do people think it takes to guarantee the player? Also will better prime players be getting in?
It really depends on how close you are to getting the player before using the medals. It is highly recommended that you don't use any medals until the last day the player is available. This will give you the best chances of landing him. Typically around 100 medals is a good amount to save up, but if you get close on your daily picks, you may be able to land the player with much less.
There will definitely be better players available in the future...including legends!
Yes. The medals can get you there if you’re close but it’s really hard to make up a lot of ground with them. The prizes go down significantly when using medals instead of your daily pick.
I go center 90% of the time. I didnt know that medals rolled over until my buddy told me. Though I did get Strasburg on the last go round. Not the best prime pitcher but at least I have 5 prime pitchers now.
It is really about luck. After playing this game for 2 years now I just got my first Epic win getting Strasburg also. I was going back and forth from boxes on the left, then right, then middle. No real pattern though. Just luck.
I always go middle. Rule of thumb for the medals is that you’ll average 15 per medal. So divide your medals by 3 (3 categories) and multiply by 15. If that number plus your lowest category on last day is more than 1000, and you want the player (they will get better) go for it. I’ve got 101 medals right now, so I’d probably have a good chance of getting Kemp if I was at 500-600 in each category. Probably wouldn’t do it unless I was much closer because the players do get better
