If I have leveled up to Platinum Tiers am I basically screwed?

I've leveled up to Platinum thinking it would be a great way to keep advancing but everything here is WAY tougher, from Walk Off to Home Run Derby and has made everything I do basically a waste at this point because I can't win enough to collect any rewards to level. Is this basically life now and I should suck it up and find another game or is there a mechanic or something other than spending a few hundred dollars to level up that I can use?
