Man I am so sick and tired of getting ‘850’ xp(example) on a box I’m paying 1k+ gold for. They should have an option to secure a for sure player reward. Like how they already have the new feature to watch a video for a different reward. I’d much rather pay an extra 250-500 gold per box to know I’m getting a player.

GLU is not an honest or ethical company. They quite clearly manipulate the odds of many aspects of their product to create advantages and disadvantages ultimately leading users to spend more money to chase something that's not really there.
In many respects, they're lucky they haven't yet been subjected to state or federal laws regarding honest disclosures for gaming and gambling providers. No one should be surprised if they were to discover that the best rewards are always claimed first by their friends, colleagues, and themselves.
The evidence to support this is fairly well documented and all but admitted by GLU's customer service. They'll gladly admit they play the game themselves and enjoy certain perks.
To be clear, Tap Baseball is properly considered a gambling product. You pay money for a chance at a reward based on supposed odds.
In any other gambling sector, giving your employees casino credits to play against other non employees would lead to fines or worse. Giving them loaded dice to roll at the craps table would end your gaming license.
We know all of this. They are not honest. They are not ethical. They are not good people. They're con artists.
But, they've made an enjoyable game.
We can either accept the reality of GLU's chicanery and subterfuge, even when we get the raw end of the deal.
Or, we can move on to something else.
They're not going to change. They have no reason to. Their revenue year over year is up across all games. Their stock price, while still stuck barely above junk status, looks stable at the moment. No matter how poorly they perform or treat their users, a large portion continue to spend time and money on the game.
I like the game, so I'll continue to play when I'm enjoying myself. When I no longer derive enjoyment, I won't play. Simple as that.
Yesterday, the game gave me no pleasure. So, I didn't play at all. Today, I played a couple minutes of free energy and decided to streak for max individual tier in the weekend event. Once I got there, I moved on to something else.
Namaste motherfuckers!
