Priority service?

I sent in a ticket and got the response that my status was upgraded to priority service. Is this just glu's way of trying to make me feel good or is there an actual Benefit  to it? Thanks in advance

    I believe it means you have dropped some coin on the game and are at least in some way on your way to achieving VIP.  It should result in slightly expedited response time.
