Club Requirement Suggestions

Hi everyone, thanks in andvance for your responses.  I am currently part of a club that only has abou 5 or 6 pretty active players.  Several play from time to time.  Others play quite a bit for a couple days after joining, but then nothing.  I know the game is for fun, but I feel the club is for helping each other advance.  It just gets frustrating sometimes when others do nothing to help out.

My question for you all is what type (if any) requirements does your club have in order to keep players around or to give them the boot?  Curious to hear your thoughts.  Thanks

The club I am in only require you give a best effort in each event. Or communicate to the club if there is a real life event that will keep you from playing or playing a lot. Communication is key. We have added 5 or 6 new teams to our club this week. @JEDDDOGGY being one of them. And all 5 or 6 have been great at communicating and blending into our club culture. We don't always place top 10 or even top 25 but we do well and occasionally we do place well. It is tough in the diamond bracket but we don't require spending and we don't require a minimum points etc like some clubs do. We just have fun and try to get the best rewards we can for the club members.

We always ask the same from new club members:
Must contribute to the club (which means most events) and be willing/able to spend gold, stay active, chat, etc.
I usually pay attention to those on the bottom rung of our club and if we feel someone isn't pulling their weight and trying to take advantage of our efforts, they're history.

    Any point minimums?

@Stillmatic we don't have point minimums. But if you aren't playing, and you are collecting, and you haven't given a good reason for not playing... we will likely be looking for your replacement pretty soon lol.

I agree, I recently became the leader by default, and want to build a more active club.  Thanks for the reply.

The main thing is you all need to be on the same page regarding participation and spending. I was kicked from a pretty intense club earlier in the season, where, although I was a daily participant, I didn't have the resources to buy gold, nor did I have the time to devote the hours required to really crank. It was a "no hard feelings" situation. Although I liked the guys, I felt bad about benefitting from other's work and dollars. I don't miss the 30 or so daily KiK messages that would distract me. I found a squad that matched my efforts, and amount of communication I wanted to receive. That being said, the leader is constantly having to scrape off the bottom of the bottom of the non-participants or people who join who have a reasonably-ranked club. Good luck, @Stillmatic. Also, hard to assign a point value given GLU's weird bonus system. Focus on the right amount of participation.

    Is this SPFD?

if it is, it’s good to see you around!  I’ll never forget the time your video function was accidentally turned on by your dogs!

Hmmm... that would be a good thread, funniest story you ever heard from a clubbie.  Like the guy that took 2 viagra and had to go to the ER to get the blood drained from his painful, well you know, after several hours of standing at attention.
I'm confused by what you mean by 5.7 and 5.8.  You mean the round and level?
