Green around players

Does anyone know why some players have green around their circle, some have green around their number, and some have neither? In this picture, top player, no green, next 2 around the number, bottom 2 around the circle

Means they can be leveled up.

I never noticed until today. So green around the number means level up with xp. Around the player, level up with evo?

@jcrow22 green around the player means they are ready to evolve to the next tier (silver to gold etc) as long as you are in, or above, that tier yourself and around the number means evolve to the next number.

So in your case Odor doesn't have any green as he is platinum 10 and you're platinum so no more upgrades for him until you hit diamond. Peralta has green around him as he is silver 10 and next step is gold 1.
