To be blunt, just truly an awful box today. #1, thought they were done with 445 max guys as the bottom reward after last week, but apparently not. #2, the Lindor is a strong downgrade in both max and skills from the numerous versions of him that already exist.
I guess if you're really focused on CvsC and willing to spend resources on a CvsC-only player, today is your day. Other than that, it's just resource farming. Even an average WOH cycler is not going to find a single asset in today's box that will improve their WOH roster.
CvsC skills are rather meaningless to me though I can understand why they'd be important to some. In my club, hoarding MVP and High round rewards is frownedH puny not upon. So even if I drastically upgraded at CvsC to the point where I could win every 🆚round, I'd have to either tone it down or find a new club.
Houmy made a good point a little while back in that for CvC, it’s all about bonus players. The median quality standard can be raised slightly with these CvC specialists but really means nothing without a bonus player......meaning it’s a waste of time and resources to level up any of these specialists.
Got 9 cycles in Gordon x4 Blackmon x3 Rizzuto and Williams I used Holiday Williams 17/17 on 5/9 & Baez 17/17 on 5/10 went 9 and 3 the 3 were video restarts at the time the curves start coming in around mid day
6 cycles, Mantle went 6-6 against Abbott (no losses or restarts). I got everyone in the box except Doc. Can’t complain at all...except none of them make my team. I could level Rizzuto because he is a little better than LL Lindor, but not worth the xp really.
@Houmy come on brother, don't be so negative , I thought we had settle that in. Why would they have a CVC skill that won't be active in cvc? I think I have seen then ON when he starts the inning as the first batter (only way to see the skills for sure), but I could be wrong. I have definitively seen other skills on and off for other batters in cvc.
I think a clear improvement Glu should make in 2019 is to indicate what skills are active in every at-bat.
I think a clearer improvement would be for GLU to state how they will make up for this to all those that spent so much $$$ on those skills. I will wait a week for CS to get back to me and then I will take the matter up with google and if that doesn't go anywhere I'll try AMEX and having been with them for 23 years I like my chances. May not lead anywhere but GLU would definitely lose a customer that has spent enough for 4.5 VIP accounts this year alone.
If this was made clear in advance I would be fine with it and let it go as I would have know the odds but this is something that GLU never disclosed and is trying to cover it up now. All bad coding and I do not buy the random explanation a bit as they never mentioned, not even once, that it would be random only in certain features of the game. Everyone has seen that skills are always active in WOH so GLU's "random" explanation is just pure BS and misleading information. Things you shouldn't be able to get away with when there is real money involved.
