Active club vs lazy club

So I'm an active player in what I would call a lazy club.  I've gotten my club in to top 25 rankings on my own before and that kinda sucks.  On the other hand, I win tons of mystery boxes and players because I have no competition in my club.  My question for the more experienced players, is which one is better for my personal team?

    Seems like being the king in a lazy club is good for building up your team...  Once it’s good and you’re happy with it get into active club.

    That was my thought too.  I just didnt know if I was missing out on better rewards by being on a more active club.

    The other option is the complete opposite.  Find a really strong club that can let you piggyback rewards for a while, and build your roster through woh and boxes bought with club reward gold.  Once you get a solid roster, break bout on your own, and be the alpha in a different club.  Either way is a completely valid strategy.
