Home Run Battles For Gold

i haven't been playing to long but I've played a ton of home run battles. With my legend guy, my longest is 519' during a slug fest. I did a battle just now and the guy I was playing against went:

519'

515'
530'
799=533'
774=516'
814=543'
I'm not one to whine and be a sore loser but this seems a little bit b.s. to me. Idk, maybe I just haven't seen it but when every one is pretty much at or well above my best of 519' and finishes over 5500+ while going 9/10 just seems pretty shady. Does anyone else put up numbers like this or seen anyone do it?
