Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Launch Technique

I am finally giving up my 'tapping' technique in order to really master the launch and give the 'rev drop' technique another try. I know with the Stella to let the gas go at the 2nd light. Any other tips for specific cars would be appreciated. I'm going to need a lot of practice so if anyone wants to free race and gain a bunch of quick street credit points fast, add me and let me know!!

Civic Si w 250+hp (w turbo) is right after the 1st light before 2nd light. 0.050-0.100 RT's all the time.

What people always fail to consider is that a launch sequence can change dramatically or subtly depending on the setup. It may not be the same for all player. Here is a (shameless) link to my YouTube vid showing a proper drop launch for a scion tC. http://youtu.be/gAZtEMbW7RI Hopefully this will be helpful to someone and I quite possibly might upload more vids for some of the more popular cars.

on my Evo VIII and NSX(no turbo ATM), I always do it just two hundredths of a second(just an estimate) right after the 2nd light goes off. average RT is .100 and fastest is .001 and I don't do rev drops since CSR.

Let's see the Evo rev drop launch! I believe I seen one on RRR but I trust you more plus in that video he had the wrong maxed build. From playing around with it, in between 3rd to 2nd light seems to work best but I have yet to get a perfect launch on any car with that method..

I'm a three day-old racer in this game, so can anyone suggest what's the best setup on Evo VIII? I don't know what's the ideal power to weight ratio. :(
