Well chasing the ATG's has been an entirely different story, and yes i'll admit I've been fortunate with getting them (and i've done some completely unreasonable chasing to get a few of them)
It's because GLU cares more about trying to get new people hooked than trying to retain it's customers. It's a tatic that seems to be working for them, but there seem to be major cracks in that strategy when moderate spenders start walking away from the game. My bet is that those spenders are the real make-or-break…
On the bright side, it was practically a deal compared to the shellacking I took on the event bonus player box. That took way more gold to get anyone of consequence.
I fail to see how it really helps Glu? I imagine that they see that sales of their "products" are down and they're trying to force us into buying them (i.e. boxes in the store, etc.), but it's just going to lull us into playing less (and buying less).
I was happy to finally land a SS on a "deal" so to speak. I would have rather had the recent Lindor, but I couldn't snag him so I'm happy to upgrade from the 350 max I had there. Still have a 2B and 1B lower than 400, so hoping to see those positions in Royale soon.
I felt the same way; however, in two months time me and a buddy have leveled up two clubs from b1 to platinum. If you're willing to get through the bonus games, it goes pretty fast.
Imo, the simplest way to be happy in a club = be in a club of one. I've been in several clubs now, and i'm by far the happiest in my lonely club of me, myself, and I.
@DFBB, how does this work exactly? Do you put in throwaway relievers/sp's everywhere else? Does keeper pitcher have to be capped (fyi, I have keeper DeGrom)?
I've cycled classic so many times I literally have the last four memorized for every level (and I update this in my head when glu changes it). I'd recommend that you go through and match your 10 best against each pitcher, making sure to get the platoon advantage, and go from there before you even start leveling anybody. I…
Everything so far this year. I've never been a F2P player, but today I definitely just became one (mostly due to the reasons others have already outlined above, but the fact that CVC rewards haven't seen a significant uptick really irritates the heck out of me). Thus begins my precipitous decline from semi-mediocrity to…
@gqweber, unless your club is routinely finishing in the top ten, I don't really see the benefit of staying put and not trying to go snag some easy cvc wins in a public club where no one plays. It takes a little bit of work, but the rewards are well worth the effort. If you play it right, you can win every cvc and build…
Play CVC and not the event, or rather, try to win as many CVC matches as possible and get the player boxes from winning those matches. Doesn't always work out, but more often than not it seems that the CVC reward boxes yield the better players, or at a better rate, compared to straight out buying boxes from the store.…
