As a follow-up, this continues to happen. I have screenshots of the log before and after I hit combine. Any time the game is exited or the temple is closed I mysteriously lose a piece. Seems like the scale and overall pricing structure is a little rich for most people. I have no problem spending $10 or $20 on an app, yet want to get value for it. I just don't see the incentive to spend $20 and only get VIP 1. Perhaps if they adjusted their pricing structure I would reconsider.

I have had the same issue, except the log show my pieces were stole BEFORE I hit combine, which makes even less sense. It almost seems as though this is intentional to get people to pay for speed ups.
