Has a prime player even been available since the update? I wonder if they suspended the ability to get them depending on their knowledge of the gold glitch.

But why do a position player update at all, then? You still have to buy the prime position players before you get to the pitchers. They must've just said "ok, who are the players that need glaringly obvious upgrades? Fix them, toss in some rookies and call it good."

Wacha and Cole are top 15 in the league for ERA. Not even a tweak for them. Rosenthal tied for the lead in saves, not a tweak. Scherzer gets a tweak for the wrong reasons, he's having a fine year. Top 15 in ERA, 3rd in WHIP. Yet a guy like Mike Fiers remains a 5 star quality player. I'd hate to draft him in the 5 star only…

As mention above, if you need an easy 1B and have 1200 gold, Fielder can be got in the free agent 3 player packs. Disappointing that they seem to have ignored pitching, though.

I was expecting changes for Wacha, Rosenthal, Keuchel, and Gerrit Cole. Nothing for no one, instead I got half a star taken off from Scherzer, which probably isn't right. Do your pitchers have low control? Might be why they are better against humans. Humans are a lot less patient that the AI.

yeah that's exactly what I mean Sox. There are pitchers but I think you have to acquire all the Prime batters first, which is a lot of gold.

Best thing to do...save up for now. You'll want to spend the gold on coaching upgrades eventually, but if you're able to save up 10-20k gold (I don't know how fast you got the 1k), but wait to spend that on upgrades until there's a fan rewards event for a Prime player.

Maybe they aren't salty. Maybe they were first in the queue for a new league, it took forever to find however many other teams, and they forgot about it.

At the very least the default tab on the stats page shouldn't be your game history. I've got about 5000 games played/autoplayed, and I bet 90% of those are teams I've only played once. Long list to load. I go in there to look at my players' stats, that should be the default stat page.

Next time they start a brand new game, don't even bother opening it. If it's anything like last years version, it will disappear on it's own after a couple days, and they won't get a notice that the game is over and they won or lost. I usually resign games to set me back some wins so I can play 1 of my 100+ bonus games. Usually when I've got nothing else to do. You are correct on demotion.
