@Houmy you used the 430 stat leader Merrifield against Kershaw and cycled 8 times?!? I was 0-4 with him (maxed, boost at +7). 0-8 with Knoblauch. 0-2 with Davis. 1-4 with Sig Segura. @Houmy @DFBB who did you use to cycle? I've tried Legend Knoblauch 6 times and Merrifield twice and no luck so far.

mostly luck, if you have the players to beat it. sadly I'm running short in the luck dept today... the tweaks they made this week have me 0-8 against Kershaw and out of gold. :'( cycled 7 or 8 times both last M & W. doesn't look like that will be happening again.

@Houmy couldn't have said it better. currently have sig correa, sig judge, sig puig, sig kluber, legend edmonds, and about 5 prime pitchers/relievers all on my bench due to lack of resources to level them. ugh.

Jeez. 106,400 PXP to level him to gold (plus 40 evo, plus whatever you put into his skill) and his trade in value is under 4,000 PXP?? ouch. That is not a good value. lol.

@JEDDDOGGY a couple other tips - different players seem to have better or worse luck at getting a good pitch sequence. a L batter against a R pitcher is always helpful. also a skill that's always on for WOH (like 7th inning on, or vs. R or L pitcher) is a big plus. oh and i ALWAYS try to hit opposite field, way less…

@bosshog90210 yes it's definitely possible. I spent 240+80 boost on my first cycle yesterday (Gold, at that time against Neris) and then cycled 6 more times with only video boost/replay. But as @bigvivec said, the more you level up the harder it gets. I think silver is the sweet spot for slugger, and gold for WOH. glu…

@Houmy Totally agree about Kluber. Got him as well and then was not happy to see he takes prime XP to level. Luckily I already landed Correa and beat Kluber on first try thanks to 2 walks.

@houmy nice pull! I was able to cycle 5x yesterday, only spending gold on the first round through (which, in hindsight I should have not done. LOL.) pulled Petit THREE TIMES. ugh. Did land the Signature Judge which will be cool if they go far in the playoffs. and if I stumble on 100K PXP somewhere.

ya I got signature Judge, which is better than a SR... but still expensive to level to gold when I already have 6 prime/legend outfielders. worth it if yankees go deep though (already have all-star judge maxed with skill level 9) Now if only they would put a damn catcher as a reward... beat it on 5th try with Reggie…

@Houmy yeah it sucks, they won't even tell me what it's for. Only thing they seem certain of is that they won't tell me why. And that it's irreversible. I'm on iOS which to my knowledge you can't even hack/cheat on... so much time legitimately building this team. ugh.

@houmy look at reddit MLB streams. you should be able to stream any game you want to watch for free. Might need to search a bit to find the best quality stream, but better than paying $100 a month for cable you don't watch.

It's way easier than it was 2 weeks ago. The first time they introduced Neris at gold level he was like 263 or so, yesterday only 213 if I remember correctly. I do think all the bitching got through to glu.

Neris is nasty. Played him 5x with maxed legend Reggie Jackson and couldn't get closer than 5-8. Mostly unhittable pitches, like Diaz. None of the other pitchers gave me any problems.

The entire club used to be able to collect MVP/high round rewards, but sounds like they've fixed that this round. Considering how much they charge for the game (hello 10K harper box) seems like something they could have left in - like the warp tunnels in Mario or cheat codes in Contra :)

plus leveling a prime from gold to platinum takes an absurd amount of EVO... like 150 or something? so if you win season mode that would take you about a month of beating that and collecting EVO to evolve ONE player. not even remotely worth moving up.

"80% of the curves are hittable" LMAO. Legend Reggie jackson is over 350 with the gold boost and I have exactly zero hits on curves in about 12-13 times... so almost 40 ABs. And all I F'ing see is curves (sliders).
