The last fan reward's offer of Trumbo and Alex Gordon were as bad, if not worse, than the upcoming offer. Since I already have Davis, my 4* reward is Prado.
I'm guessing that you should be able to go through the entire 3-4* list as denoted in an earlier thread. Haven't done many tourneys since the last rewards event. Waiting for the next one, which should be this weekend, to resume 4-star knockout tourneys.
Got Duffy and a bunch of solid 4* relievers through the 4-star knockout tourney over the past weekend. The bonus was getting Miguel Cabrera as the top reward at a fraction of his cost. Hopefully, a good 5-star pitcher is offered at the next fan rewards event to make the tourneys worthwhile. Of course, there were some…
Been there, done that when stealing a base. As long as the throw gets there first, no tag needs to be placed. You're dead meat if it's a pitchout or a pick off -- no exceptions.
Every 2 weeks. The next fan rewards event is this weekend, starting Friday. Good chance that the draft picks go on sale the next day. Upgrades often go on sale at the same time as draft picks do. However, that didn't happen during the last fan rewards event.
Yet, Duffy hits his spots when needed. Even hard hit pitches rarely find a hole. I can score against pitchers with 8 arm and 8 control. But Duffy shut me out during his outing.
Change #6 to: Line-drives will almost never be dropped. You can send a 102 MPH pitch back twice as hard to the pitchers face and he will catch it 99.99% of the time. Jered Weaver finally dropped a liner back that to him in a tournament game. Probably won't see that happen for at least another year.
One of my favorite players, Jeff Bagwell, had a 5-year stretch in which he averaged .300+, 39 hrs, and 22 SBs. To me, that's 997. Vlad Guerrero who would have qualified for the same rating during his own 5-year stretch. Coincidentally, both he and Bagwell finished their careers with 449 homers.
Did you auto-play those tournaments during the last offer? If so, I assume that you did not care about their outcomes since you ended up with a gold deficit instead of breaking even.
Back to the original question, there's a good chance that a draft pick sale concurrent with the latest fan rewards event. Last time, it didn't happen until Saturday afternoon/night. Haven't seen a concurrent upgrade sale since the Christmas event.
Same here. Just when you think you've got a hitting system figured out, your team getting dominated by low to average-rated pitchers totally change your perspective.
