How to record more songs?

Im having trouble recording more songs? Ive recorded the first one with the mission but i go on the book and write a new one but my only option is to save it until my recording session? But that dosent seem to be coming? Ive gone to nicki's studio but nothing happens?

    You'll have to wait till you reach a part of the storyline where you can record another song.
