Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Drag racing is best at night right? Sometimes you need more than measly headlights to light it up. So why not have a wheel that glows? While we’re at it, how about a bunch of wheels that glow? That’s right, we have several new wheels that glow!
Why stop there. How about some new paint options? Did you like the matte paint on the Scion XB Dragster that we raced with? Wish you could have that paint on your favorite car? Guess what, now you can!!!!! Check this car out!

While we of course want to keep adding new Kick ass cars, we can’t keep flooding the R-class with more and more cars. So we have decided to split the R-class into 3 classes, and we are adding an X-Class. So we will now have a D-Class, C-Class, B-Class, A-Class, S-Class, R-Class, R2-Class, R3-Class and and X-Class.

Head down to the shipyard to purchase Mystery Boxes! What glorious things are in these boxes? Well, new paints can be found in there, new wheels including glowing neon wheels, new cars, cars with new wraps and blueprints to build cars.

What else can we pack in here? How about a revamped boost system? You can now purchase more boosts and its by account, not car! We also give you the ability to turn off boosts if you don’t want to use one.
You asked for some kind of gifting system, and we listened. You can now gift boosts to your friends!

RACER SHOWDOWN!
You’ve seen it in game for awhile now, and we’re happy to bring you another way to race! Don’t have a team? Sometimes you just want to grab the glory for yourself? You can do all that in Racer Showdown. It’s you and you alone against everyone else to race and win special edition cars in metallic bronze, silver and gold paint. Like Turf Wars, you race to gain points.
These will be shorter events than Turf Wars with it’s own set of prizes. Don’t worry, we will still have Turf Wars, and Racer Showdown events and Turf War events will not overlap.
